Route Two
Beijing - Xi'an - Wuhan - Shanghai - Beijing
The standard trip for central China. A lot of people do this route or a slight variation of it.
You can visit Beijing with all it's sights and also the ancient Terracotta Army near Xi'an, one
of the most fascinating archaeological sites on this planet.
Then there's a boat trip on the Yangzi down to Shanghai, the classic and futuristic
metropolis of China.
The trip can be done in about 21 days, mostly by train, with no advance bookings.
