Beijing - Datong - Xi'an - Beijing
This is the northern minimalist approach to China.
But even on this short circuit you'll see some of the most amazing sights that China
has to offer. Take a hike on the Great Wall, visit Buddhist caves in Datong and then
take a look at the Terracotta Warriors near Xi'an. What else do you want?
The trip can be done in about 14 days by train with no advance booking. But it's maybe worth
to think about a few extra days, especially in Beijing and Xi'an.
