Go Write a Novel

Yes, it’s that time of year… November is approaching fast, and the National Novel Writing Month is again upon us!

I’ve finished editing my first novel which I wrote as participant in the NaNoWriMo back in 2004, and I am getting close to self-publish that book early next year. Writing that novel was exhilarating and exhausting at the same time – 30 days is not very much time to put down 50000 words.

But was it worth it? Totally! It was one of the best things I’ve ever done.

Is it easy? No.

Did I try again? Yep, twice and failed twice. But I will be back. :-)

I can only recommend giving it a try. Writing a novel was a surprisingly deep experience – I learned a lot about myself and about writing, and the mad dash through November together with thousands of other novelists was a lot of fun.

You still have ten days to come up with a good story idea… go do it! Write the novel that will make you famous! You can sleep again in December! Go! GO!

In twenty years, you can thank me in the introduction of the re-issue of your first book for this link.
